Many of Vermont's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Vermont's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocaton services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Bennington county animal services for assistance. Bennington Wildlife Removal Tip:

How Can I Catch the Squirrel Using Snare Pole?

Squirrels are part of the lives of people who live in the countryside. Most people may find them cute. However, if they have raided your vegetable garden and invaded your home, then it may be hard to find them adorable. Squirrels are rodents, they have incisors that will grow incessantly. They will have to chew on tough objects in your house to control its growth. Before that happens, you can evict them using different methods. Perhaps, one of the least popular methods would be with the use of snare poles.

What is Snare Pole?

Snare poles of catch poles are normally used by the animal control personnel when catching stray animals. While they may often be used for cats and dogs, you can also use them against reptiles like small alligators and lizards. It is made from durable and lightweight materials. The cable is crafted using a flexible and strong cable. It ensures that the animal will not die from suffocation and the noose will not feel too painful on their neck.

What Are the Different Types of Snare Poles?

If you are planning to catch a squirrel using a snare pole, you should be aware of the different types available in the market. It will help you determine what snare pole is ideal for capturing small animals like squirrels.

  • Baton Type- This snare pole is shorter than the standard and may weigh only at around 1-2.5lbs. It is the type that will be used on stray pets. It can also be used on urban pests like raccoons.

  • Extension Pole- With this, the pole can be extended which will keep a good distance from the animal that you are catching. It is an ideal tool to use to catch urban pests that are possibly infected with infection and virus.

  • Snappy Type- It is used against frightened and elusive creatures. However, make sure that the animal that you will capture is non-aggressive.

  • Leash Pole- Instead of using a DIY leash to capture the squirrel, you may use a leash pole. The wide opening of the noose makes it easier to slip it on the neck and the leg of the squirrel.

How Should I Use Snare Pole to Capture Squirrels?

When capturing the squirrel, determine first where the animal is frequenting. once you spotted the animal, hold the snare pole in a calm and relaxed position. Otherwise, you will startle the animal and it will run away. If you need to lift the pole, you should casually do this. Gently slide the loop on the head of the animal and one of its legs; this method will help you avoid choking the animal that may lead to a tense situation.

Once you captured the animal, guide the animal carefully toward the cage by either walking behind or next to it. Never drag the animal. If there are instances when the animal will struggle, stop for a while and wait for it to calm down before you move once more.
