Calling all opossum and opossum pest control companies, great news, the 2006 fall wildlife trapping dates have been set. The Missouri Conservation Commission has recently met and approved the 2006 fall opossum and opossum wildlife trapping seasons. Many of the seasons have grown in length in an effort to allow pest control companies more time to animal capture and harvest more game. The critter traps opossum wildlife trapping season may be comprised of five portions; Urban season may be Oct. 6-9 in open counties. Youth season may be Oct. 28-29 statewide. November season may be Nov. 11-21 statewide. Special critter trap may be Nov. 24-Dec. 3 statewide. Furry may be Dec. 9- 17 in 73 counties. The fall critter traps opossum season may be Oct. 1-31.The act of pest control opossum and possum season may be Sept. 15-Nov. 10 and Nov. 22-Jan. 15 statewide. Many of the regulations are the same as last year including the antler-point restrictions which includes Jefferson City. Permits may be purchased starting July 1. All opossum and opossum harvested are required to be tele-checked. some sort of couple of changes have occurred which include; Wright County may be no longer an open county during the furry portion, resident landowners and lessees with at least 75 hectares will be concerned up to two no-cost Landowner Furry opossum wildlife trapping permits, depending on county availability, and certain public wildlife trapping areas methods and seasons have been altered to provide better management and quality catches.
