Many of Louisiana's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Louisiana's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocaton services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Bossier Parish animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Bossier animal control for wildlife issues.

Bossier Wildlife Removal Tip: Mole Repellent

If both prevention and capture fail, then it is time to rely on the repelling them away. Moles are a very tedious and pesky creatures. Destroying our perfectly built lawns is one thing but eating away the worms who helps fertilize our gardens is quite unforgivable whenever they decide to come out of their long winter slumber. This article will discuss some methods used to repel them by using different chemical and natural substances.

1. Use repellents sold in gardening stores. Repellents are sold everywhere and nowadays with the booming industry of e-commerce, you can pay for it online and get it delivered to your front door the next day. Look up for videos on YouTube about the commercial repellents or ask around the gardening stores. Talk to your fellow gardening folks or next-door neighbours about the different repellents they use to repel the moles. Some repellents are more effective than the other and can also be lethal to other wildlife or your pets. Calculate your budget before deciding to buy them.
2. Place cotton balls dripped in eucalyptus or mint oil in their tunnels. This is perhaps one of the safer ways to repel the moles, keeping them away from your precious backyards. Use the cotton balls and place it in the opening of each of their tunnels. Moles hate strong smells and will not even think to dig any further if they smell these.
3. Use castor oil. Castor oil is another one of the safer, natural way to keep the moles away from your backyard. Castor oil also emits a strong smell like eucalyptus that disgusts these pesky, underground creatures. Similar to the cotton balls idea but for this one, you can mix the oil with water in a bucket and pour the tunnel openings.
4. Use ultrasonic and vibration devices. Moles are blind because they spend the most of their life underground. They rely on their hearing alone to navigate underground as they dig. This means that they have a sensitive hearing. The ultrasonic devices can easily repel the moles because they will get annoyed by the sound and will decide to move elsewhere.
