Many of Illinois's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Illinois's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocation services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local McHenry county animal services for assistance. McHenry Wildlife Removal Tip: HOME REMEDIES TO KEEP AWAY MICE AND GET RID OF THEM

Mice are creative animals and thus they wiggle their way into the apartments and homes no matter they are clean or dirty! Mice carry lot of diseases along with them and thus even if they appear to be harmless, they are actually not. Traps and mice poison are available in the market and most of the people rely on them to get rid of mice but if you can't stand the idea of using them, then here are some home remedy tips that can help you in getting rid of them and keep them away from your home sweet home!

1. Peppermint Oil: If you've smelled peppermint oil then its fresh scent would certainly have pleased you! But mice hate the smell of peppermint and thus if you can place cotton balls dipped in peppermint oil at the suspected corners of your home then mice would run for hills after smelling those! You can keep them in kitchen and entry gates so that they don't enter your house again. If you have a garden area outside your home then you can plan mint along the exteriors! Mint leaves and mint toothpaste can also be used if peppermint oil is not something which you prefer.

2. Onions: The pungent smell of onion keeps mice away. But using onions can be little tricky if you have other pets also at home! You can keep cut onions at places where you suspect presence of mice. If mouse comes near those onions, it will just outside to breathe some fresh air and you can keep some at entry path also so that it doesn't enter again. But make sure that you are placing a fresh onion everyday as otherwise the smell of onion will spread fetid smell in your entire home!

3. Plaster of Paris & Cocoa Powder: Mixture of dry plaster of Paris and cocoa powder can also help in getting rid of mice. All you have to do is to prepare a mixture of these two items. Make sure the mixture is dry and then make small heaps of it at places where occurrence of mice is frequent. Mice will be attracted to them because of chocolate and after eating they will rush outside in search for water. Mice may die if they don't find water after eating this mixture.

4. Sealing the gaps: Finding gaps and holes is as difficult as finding a needle in haystack as mouse can enter your home through the smallest of holes and cracks as well. Hence you need to ensure that all the holes are closed so that they can't find a way to jump in. Seal those gaps using steel wools as mice can't gnaw the steel wires.

5. Predator's urine: If you have a cat at home then you don't really have to worry about mice nut if cats aren't your thing then you can place little tubs of kitty litter at the suspected entry points and mice will never enter you home!
