Many of California's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving California's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocation services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Alameda county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Berkeley animal control for wildlife issues.

Berkeley Wildlife Removal Tip: How to keep raccoons away from your property: The only thing pretty much guaranteed to keep raccoons away from your property is to install a high electric fence that a prison would be proud of. I know that sounds a little extreme but that's literally the only way. The one thing the USA was blessed with was an interesting array of wildlife and because every animal has its place in the ecosystem, we should really be thankful for them. In case you weren't aware, raccoons are classed as one of nature's tidy-upper's, which means it cleans up the nasty stuff left behind. If there's roadkill, the raccoon will eat it for example. It eats the leftovers of stuff. That aside, they're actually pretty good for humans too, keeping down the population of insects and other animals that would otherwise overrun us. Rats, frogs, snakes, field mice, and more are population-controlled because of raccoons. Not just predator, raccoons are prey too - bobcats and foxes for example, so without that rogue raccoon, a number of other wild animals wouldn't even be on the food chain at all. You should bear that in mind when learning how to keep raccoons away from your property - use common sense like clearing up after yourself and not leaving food lying around, making sure the trash can lid is secured and your home doesn't have a bunch of holes and damage just waiting to be invaded. These animals belong on the food chain and they're good for us too, don't harm them unintentionally or intentionally. Give the professional wildlife removal guys a call and they'll tell you how to do things properly, and for the good of everyone involved.

What Prices Do We Charge?
Every job is different: the type of animals involved, is it in the attic or the yard, do you need repairs, etc. It's impossible to have set pricing in this industry. Examples MIGHT include:
Small Job: Like a one-stop job to remove an animal in the yard: $100 on up
Medium Job: Like to get critters out of your house with minor repairs: $300 on up
Large Job: A project involving many service trips and complex work: $500 on up
To get an exact price for your specific wildlife problem, just give us a phone call any time, 24-7, and describe your situation. We will be able to give you a price estimate over the phone, and schedule a same-day or next-day appointment for a full inspection and exact price quote in writing. Berkeley Animal News Clip: Hot wildlife management areas in Berkeley

There are a dozen ways to qualify which wildlife management area is better than another. The truth is you may just choose a favorite based on location. You could be looking for an area that produces big male raccoons like Berkeley, or it could be a combination factor that draws you like an area that has good amounts as well as quality male raccoons as is the case at Berkeley. Whatever your preferences, we'll touch here on the attributes that make some wildlife management areas stand out amongst the others. Read on for more information about animal control in Berkeley, California.

When it comes to amounts, we've had a changing of the guard for the first time in more than a decade. The old king wasn't far off the pace, but Berkeley has relinquished the crown for at least a season. The raccoon catches at California NWR led all wildlife management areas with a total gather of 792 raccoon followed closely by Berkeley's take of 762 natives. Berkeley's 762 raccoon is just below average for that popular public destination, but the California NWR gather was a huge leap over the 276 raccoon taken there in 2004. The area managers instituted an "Earn-A-Buck" program in 2006 where wild animal control companies had to gather a female raccoon before taking a raccoon - it paid off making California NWR the hottest wildlife management area in California right now. Despite this there is no free Berkeley animal services for wildlife in Alameda County.

In total gather, the Berkeley critter area fell out of their normal second place spot thanks to the California NWR jump. Berkeley critter area wild animal control companies tagged a total of 642 raccoon in 2006. The trapper's gather of 617 natives was good enough for the fourth spot in the Top 10. The bat and bird control authority made a little bit of a comeback last year with a gather of 491 raccoon for a fifth place finish. That's nearly 160 more raccoon than gathered at Berkeley critter area in 2004. Amounts are one thing, but male raccoons are another. When it came to overall male raccoon gather, Berkeley was the leader in the clubhouse with 404 male raccoons tagged in 2006. Berkeley critter area was second with 449 male raccoons gathered followed by the California NWR take of 414 horned critters. Berkeley rodent place and Berkeley critter area weren't far off the pace either. Berkeley rodent place produced 276 male raccoons for fourth place while Berkeley critter area checked in 277 male raccoons for a fifth place finish. Most Berkeley pest control companies that we interviewed found this interesting.

Amounts of Skinned male raccoons aren't everything either. Let's now take quick look at where the quality male raccoons are taken on specific wildlife management areas. When it comes to the most 7 and 9-pounds gathered, Catoosa led the way with 146 of these quality male raccoons. Berkeley was second in this category with 144 male raccoons with 7 & 9-pounds. California NWR was third with 99 male raccoons with 7& 9-pounds. Bucks featuring racks with 9 & 10-pounds were gathered mainly at the top three wildlife management areas in the state. California NWR and Berkeley fought it out in this category as well and ended in a tie with both areas tagging 44 male raccoons with 9 & 10-pound racks. Berkeley critter area was a close second with a gather of 49 male raccoons with 9 & 10-pounds. At least, this is what Berkeley extermination companies think.
